Are these blades safe to fly?
Yes they are! With hundreds of blades in use over many years, the quality and safety has been proven.
Blade Quality
A sound blade does not delaminate or come apart in an instant, without any symptoms. Any composite blade can degrade with time, improper storage, or exposure to weather or abrasives. Composite blades on any helicopter, home built or certified, should be tested regularly for integrity, using a simple "tap test"
Regular Inspection
A thorough, detailed visual inspection of the blades should also be a part of the pre-flight inspection. The leading edge of any composite blade should always be protected from damage with tape designed for that purpose, which should be replaced when it becomes worn or damaged.
